Freehold, NJ – New Jersey’s favorite cover band, The Nerds, will headline a free show to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at iPlay America’s Event Center at 9 p.m. Saturday, March 15. Big Joe Henry from New Jersey 101.5 will be there to get the party started!
With an over-the-top style of entertainment and trademark plaid shirts and Poindexter glasses, The Nerds incorporate music, comedy, and a lot of energy into their shows, appealing to all ages.
The Nerds include guitarist Pete Oltmanns, drummer Jack Yocum, lead singer and bass player Jim Garcia, and keyboardist Mike Spiro, whose alter egos – Biff, Stretch, Spaz, and Mongo, respectively – play a blend of R&B, blues, funk, dance, classic rock, hair band, punk, new wave, pop, Englebert Humperdinck and television theme songs.
The Nerds have performed with Sheryl Crow, Hootie and the Blowfish, Earth Wind and Fire, Train, The Go-Gos, Maroon 5, and many others.
